Green Point Park

Today was a public holiday (Women's Day) and because the weather was positively stunning, the Mr and I decided to explore Green Point Park.

The park includes a biodiversity showcase garden of over 300 indigenous Cape plant species and as I recently realised, I love plants like foodies love recipes, so this outing was...well simply delicious :) Here are a few pics...

If you're looking for the park, drive to the Green Point light house and you'll find the park entrance across the road directly opposite the lighthouse. Entrance is free and if you're looking for more information about the park, visit the Biodiversity Blog.

Seeking Spring

Kirstenbosh Gardens is one place I won't mind getting lost in. And since the Mr and I have a year membership, we're try go as often as possible. And when there, I act like a complete tourist and take as many photos as possible.

This was probably the shot of the day. I struggled with getting the shutter speed and aperture just right as we walked under the shade of trees and back out into the winter sun only for bright white clouds to pass overhead. I have huge respect for professional photographers!
